About the role
You will drive fixed trunk routes between a hub near Utrecht and partner hubs in the Netherlands and northern Belgium. Each night you take a loaded trailer out, exchange it at the destination hub and bring another trailer back. The timetable is fixed, so you know your route and times in advance. Shifts start in the late evening and end early in the morning. You work with a small team of night drivers and a night planner who is available throughout the shift.
What you’ll do
- Drive scheduled hub-to-hub routes and keep to fixed departure and arrival times
- Couple and uncouple trailers and check lights, brakes and tyres at each exchange
- Check trailer seals and record seal numbers on handover documents
- Complete route, fuel and handover records at the end of the shift
- Report delays, incidents or vehicle defects to the night planner
What you’ll bring
- Valid CE driving licence and Code 95
- At least 2 years of CE experience, preferably on linehaul or trunk routes
- Personal digital tachograph card
- Willing to work permanent night shifts
- Basic English or Dutch
