About the role
An electrical contractor in Riga is looking for junior electricians for installation work in new warehouses, offices and light industrial buildings. You will work alongside a senior electrician who shows you how to lay cables, mount equipment and connect distribution boards. The working day starts at 8:00 and ends at 17:00 from Monday to Friday. Transport from a meeting point in Riga to the sites is organised by the team. After the first months, you can take on more responsibility as your skills develop.
What you’ll do
- Lay cables, cable trays and conduit under the guidance of a senior electrician
- Mount sockets, switches, light fittings and small distribution boards
- Prepare materials and tools at the start of each working day
- Help with testing and labelling of circuits
- Keep the work area clean and safe
What you’ll bring
- Vocational training in electrics is an advantage but not required
- Interest in electrical work and willingness to learn
- Latvian or Russian; basic English is an advantage
- Good physical fitness and no fear of working on ladders
- Valid EU passport or EU work permit
